Richard Bucknall was a Captain in the British Army.
Born on March 31, 1896 in Lisbon, Portugal, son of William Vincent Bucknall and Louise Caroline Bucknall.
During the Japanese attack on the British colony of Singapore, Richard died in combat in the Kranji region while he and his regiment were trying to defend a hill.
He was 45 years old at the time of his death and is now mentioned on the Kranji Allied Memorial.
