Alberto Soares was a volunteer in the Hong Kong Volunteers Defense Corps of Hong Kong.

He was born in Hong Kong and was the son of Portuguese parents.

During the Japanese conquest of Hong Kong he was captured. He died in captivity in the Shamshuipo camp hospital.
