The aircraft was hit by a electrical storm and the crew had to ditch in the Hundje Lagoon, 65 miles from Lourenço Marques. The crew flew back in a BOAC flight.

The plane was taken from S. Martinho de Bilene to Lourenço Marques, where it was latter scrapped.
