They departed from Portreath with other aircraft from 107 Sqn and had tho lande in a sandy island near the military base of S. Jacinto, in Aveiro. The airplane was burned by the crew.
The Blenheim Z7585 from the same flight also landed in Portugal near Caparica.
The crew was interned in Caldas da Rainha and repatriated to Gibraltar on September, 9. Martin and Thompson returned to GB on 8 October.
Parsons stayed in Gibraltar to complete another crew and died on December 22, 1941. He is buried in the Tripoli War Cemetery.
